Larry Carroll, SCA-TV personality, will discuss the “Tuskegee Airman legacy” of his family. His father, Lt Lawrence W. Carroll, (pictured on the left) was a Tuskegee Airman assigned to the historic 477th Bombardment Group. Although these Tuskegee Airmen never saw battle during WWII, they won a major victory against segregation in the military.
His uncle, George Hardy, (pictured on the right) flew combat missions as a fighter pilot in the 99th Fighter Squadron, 332nd Fighter Group (The Red Tails) in Europe.
During the Korean War he flew 45 combat missions in B-29s and later in Vietnam flew 70 combat missions as a pilot of an AC-119K Gunship. This meeting is open to all Anthem residents.
