Legion of Honor Presentation (posthumously) to Sydney Levine's Family (1918-2014)

Please join us at our May 12th membership meeting to honor the late Sidney Levine and his widow, Vickie, both residents and longtime club supporters. Prior to passing, while his application for the Knight of the Legion of Honor was in process, sadly he died. The Legion of Honor medal will be presented at this meeting to Ms. Vickie Levine by the Veterans Club.

Here is Sidney’s service record:

Sidney Levine served during WWII as an Infantry enlisted man, 1943 to 1945. He saw combat in Naples, Anzio, Southern France, Rhineland, Ardennes-Alscace, Central Europe, Salerno Invasion, Southern France Invasion and North Africa.

He was awarded a Bronze Star/V, Combat Infantryman Badge, Victory Medal and Good Conduct Medal.

He attained the rank of T-5. Thank you for your service, Sidney.
