Women in the Air Force 51 years ago

The Veteran Club’s Guest Speaker for April will be Denise Bianca, Lt Col, USAF Retired. Her topic will be “Women in the Air Force 51 Years Ago.” Denise enlisted in the Air Force in March, 1972. Her first assignment was as an Operating Room Technician, starting a career of almost 29 years as a recruiter, F-4 aircraft electrician, personnel specialist, then becoming an officer in 1984.

As an officer, Denise became a Colocated Operating Base  Commander, and finishing her career as the Commander of the 261st Combat Communications Squadron, Van Nuys, CA, whose leadership at one time provided the most Combat Comm Specialists deployed to hot spots around the world.

Denise spoke to the Veteran’s Club in December, 2012, and was very well received. Her presentation should be very interesting for all.
