Honor Flight of Southern Nevada

Belinda Morse will be the Veteran’s Club guest speaker for June. She has been serving the Veterans of Nevada for a little over seven years as President and one of the founding members of Honor Flight of Southern Nevada.

The mission of Honor Flight of Southern Nevada is to honor our most senior veterans and ensure that their sacrifices are not forgotten. To date, Belinda has managed fourteen flights from Southern Nevada to Washington D.C. so that more than 450 Veterans from WWII, the Korean War, and Vietnam War could visit the memorials that honor them, and their brothers and sisters in uniform.

Belinda is tasked with raising the approximate $50,000 per trip at a cost of about $1,000 per Veteran. In addition to soliciting donations from large and small corporations, Belinda manages other fund raisers such as pancake breakfasts to ensure that every dollar needed can be raised so that all those U.S. Veterans that want to go, can go.

Honor Flight of Southern Nevada is a non-profit 501-3c with no paid employees meaning that Belinda must rely on rallying volunteers to assist in organizing events and trips.
