This year we have a very special speaker William D. Brew. He entered WWII as an Army Infantryman in 1943. Shortly, thereafter, he was transferred to the U.S. Army Air Corps serving as a B-24 Bombardier and Nose Gunner. Bill has an interesting story to share as member of the 380th Bomb Group in the Philippines and Okinawa during the height of fighting as our forces drove towards Japan. He holds the Air Medal and many other prestigious decorations for his service to our nation. Bill represents the Greatest Generation era, unselfishly serving as a true patriot. He is the first Sun City Anthem resident to appear as our Veterans Day speaker, marking his 90th birthday this year.
In addition, Bill is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Civil Air Patrol, Henderson Squadron and is a licensed pilot.
