Captain Norm Scott USN (ret)

The Veterans Club guest speaker for September is Captain Norm Scott, USN, Retired. He will give a presentation on Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing. This organization is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active, and veteran members through fly fishing, and associated activities including education and outings.

Captain Scott served in the US Navy from 1964 to 1994. He served on various ships and commands including three tours in Vietnam. He commanded a Patrol Craft in Vietnam, and was the Commissioning Commanding Officer of the USS Gallery (FFG-26), and Commanding Officer of the USS Gridley (CG21), and the Commander of the Naval Warfare Center, Dahlgren.

After his active duty service he held many positions including owning a hospitality business, and working for a defense contractor. He and his wife, Cheryl, moved to Sun City Anthem in 2021.

This should be a very interesting speech.
