Lt Col (Ret) USAF Laurie DeGarmo, is a 23-year USAF combat veteran, serving in both the Balkans and Iraq/Afghanistan conflicts. As Deputy Commander for Defense Contract Management Command, Southern Europe –Balkans, she supported Multi-National Division (North), based in Tuzla, Bosnia. Stateside, she had the honor of serving as Program Manager for the Air Force One and VIP-Special Airlift Mission Program at the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center. After multiple staff assignments, she was thrilled to culminate her career with an operational unit, the 22nd Air Refueling Wing, at McConnell AFB, KS.
After completing active duty, she worked for defense contractors on the Joint Primary Aircraft Training System (T-6) and returned to support the Air Force One/VIP-SAM program. She currently consults with major defense contractors across a broad spectrum of weapon systems and land/sea/space-based platforms.
She is married to Lt Col (Ret) USAF, Jim DeGarmo. They moved to Sun City Anthem in 2015 to be near their grandchildren. She has served as Treasurer of the Veterans Club for the past three years.
