Our guest speaker for the February Veterans Club meeting on February 11, 2025 at 6:00 PM is Ben Wood, and his topic is “Isis and the Yazidis: How American Action Stopped a Genocide in Iraq. Ben grew up in Las Vegas and taught U.S. History at Eldorado High School. He has interviewed survivors and will present who the Yazidis are and why ISIS terrorist targeted them for extermination in 2014. He will relate how and why the U.S. military took action to save these people after we had left Iraq in 2011. This should be a very interesting presentation
